Dynamic Demand for Tourism in Sumatra, Indonesia: A Pooled Mean Group Approach

The aims this study is to examine the dynamic demand for tourism in Sumatra, Indonesia. There are ten provinces Sumatra and research period from 2003 2019 with 170-panel data samples. Pooled Mean Group (PMG)–ARDL utilized Sumatra's tourism. Long-term results show that hotel income facilities positively significantly affect demand. Furthermore, transportation costs exchange rates harm Meanwhile, of short-term studies provide different results. Income has a negative effect, while have positive effect.
